IHS TOWERS DONATES PLASTIC WASTE WHEEL BINS TO LUSAKA CITY COUNCIL.

The IHS Towers has donated 15 dust bins to Lusaka City Council towards the commemoration of World Environmental Day.

Speaking at the handover ceremony held at Civic Centre, Lusaka Town Clerk Brighton Mbaimbai said the institution is faced with a main challenges with Solid Waste being the major one and presses a lot of negative environmental and public health impact on the City.

Mr Mbaimbai said Solid waste has contributed to environmental challenges that the city faces such as floods and diseases among others.

He commended IHS Towers for donating fuel worth K2,400 and has since urged other business entities in the city to emulate them.

This year’s World Environmental Day was held on 5th June under the theme “Beat Plastic pollution”.
